A Little Pink Purse

I recently attended a training meeting in Omaha, Nebraska.  Over 100 consultant for the Close To My Heart company were there, and it was a blast!  The event organizers handed out this little pink purse to all the participants.  It is such a cute and simple craft idea that I just have to share it here.

To make this purse, simply use the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut cardstock into the shape shown below (see page 47 of the booklet that comes with the cartridge).

Fold the shape at about 1/3 of the way down to make the purse.  Staple on the sack of treats and then decorate as desired.  So easy.  I can't wait to make this sweet little project with friends!

Where I've been

Ahhh...Convention...Disneyland...I...feel...spoiled...

Here is why:

The meals were just as amazing, but the treats were so fun!

Lots of free stamp sets and project kits (pardon the photo quality - I'm still figuring out my camera and lighting).

Cute bag to hold all the new stuff...

Fun with friends...here I am with Lupe, who hung out with me in all the classes.  We ate some great lunches in downtown Disney, too.

Cookies, Rice Crispy treats, and all the other desserts looked like Mickey.  My kids would have gone bonkers over these!

Mmm, mmm, good.

Why I love Close To My Heart

Three reasons why I love my job!

1-  I love to be creative.  It is so fun to learn and teach new craft techniques!

2-  I love friends.  I have met so many wonderful people through scrapbooking and stamping.  You are all so wonderful, and I feel so privileged to know you, to laugh and cry with you.  Papercrafting, stamping, and scrapbooking is a wonderful way to tell our stories (scrapbooking), to keep in touch (card making), and to make our world more beautiful (paper crafting).

Target practice

Each time there is a new Idea Book, I hold an open house.  I set up a display of new products, and we have a fun project to make.  At each open house I have a new activity or game to help my guests earn a discount.  At the latest event, we had target practice. 

Each guest had six tries to hit the target, which was a row of My Acrylix blocks. 

The more hits, the bigger the discount!

These ladies were good!

Some misses, but mostly hits.  I think this one bounced off, so we counted it anyway.
